Pupils needing extra support: As the pupils are working in pairs, the children can support each other in the choices of which areas to work pastels into and which to leave with a wash background only.
Pupils working at greater depth: Refining areas already completed to improve the coverage (leaving fewer gaps in the pastel/paint); remark the black lines in pen to make the key lines more defined.
