Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Should benefit from working in pairs to help with ideas and composition; could have a selection of relevant items for them to use so that the focus is on how to use them to compose and recreate the picture.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should be encouraged to choose more complex paintings to recreate that will require greater ingenuity and creativity; could be provided with a challenging object to see if they can include this in their composition by using it creatively.
