Recap and recall

Display the Pupil video: Spanish song: ¿Tienes una mascota? In pairs, invite the children to recall the Spanish words for all the animals featured on the cover image. Play the song and encourage the children to join in with the singing, using the gestures established in the previous lesson as they sing each animal’s name.

Should use the audio from the presentation for repeated listening and pronunciation practice during the Main event; should use the Resource: Colour cards: support version during the Main event; could use the Knowledge organiser to support with vocabulary choices during the ‘Colour word relay’ and ‘Human sequencing’ activities.
