Display the Presentation: Using the Knowledge organiser and hand out the Resource: Knowledge organiser: French-speaking world (one between two). Working in pairs, explain that the children should use the Knowledge organiser to create questions for their partner to answer.

Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support:

Could work with a reduced amount of vocabulary, focusing on describing the temperature or the weather.

Pupils working at greater depth:

Should give a detailed weather presentation which includes the city, location, temperature and plausible weather; should focus on using the inter-cardinal compass points to describe the location of cities; should give contrasting weather information about two different locations using the connective mais – but; should include extra detail in their presentation e.g. greetings.
