Recap and recall

Display the Quiz: The UK to recall some of the key locational knowledge learnt in the previous lesson. Hand out a whiteboard and pen to each child and ask the children to record their answers to the questions on their whiteboards.

Could only identify one or two seasonal changes; could use the Knowledge organiser to support with vocabulary; could use the Resource: Journey stick materials when collecting objects.

Pupils working at greater depth

Could identify seasonal changes and make comparisons between seasons; should describe accurately how natural objects are linked to seasons (e.g. crunchy brown leaves are often found in autumn); should aim to be as accurate as possible when marking the location of their objects on the map.
