Unit outcomes
Pupils who are secure will be able to:
- Dribble with the ball at their feet, alternatinging using the inside and outside of their feet.
- Stop the ball with the sole (step trap) and inside of their feet (inside trap).
- Explain that to control the ball they should use small, light touches.
- Change direction with the ball at their feet using the inside and outside of their feet.
- Pass and receive the ball with their feet.
- Develop technique and accuracy when aiming at a variety of targets.
- Explain that to alter the angle of their shots, their planted foot needs to point in the direction they want the ball to travel.
- Recall that hitting the ball with more power will allow it to travel further.
- Work with others in a team by communicating and sharing possession and roles.
- Play games varying their position within the team.
