Recap and recall
Display the Presentation: Guess the word. Working in pairs, ask the children to take turns choosing a keyword from the list provided. They should then try to explain it to their partner without using the keyword itself, while their partner must try to guess it correctly. Swap roles after each correctly-guessed word.

Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support:
Could listen to the Easter story before the lesson to become familiar with the events; could label each event A–F on the Activity: Dartboard and write each letter in the corresponding place on the dartboard.
Pupils working at greater depth:
Should consider how the value of forgiveness plays an important role throughout Jesus’s life and in the Easter story; should link how the Easter story connects to other aspects of Jesus’ life such as miracles and telling parables, and how this may have inspired or impacted some people.
