Hand out the whiteboards and marker pens (one each). Display the Presentation: What am I? and ask the children to read each definition and write which word they think it refers to on their whiteboards. Click on each card to reveal the correct answers.

Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support Could use the Resource: Being human word list to support the Activity: What is special about humans?; could pre-watch the videos prior to the lesson or rewatch them during the lesson. Pupils working at greater depth Could look online at alternative versions of the Happy Human symbol from around the world during the Wrapping up and explain to the class what is similar and different about them and which they think best represents Humanist beliefs and why; should consider how Humanist key beliefs compare with religious beliefs about humans from previous units.
