Pupils needing extra support
Could practice retelling the stories of Abraham and Moses to each other in pairs after Activity: Moses and the burning bush (one between two); could use the Activity: Connections: support version with some connections already circled.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should use the New Testament in Activity: Connections to acknowledge the different prophets in the Christian worldview; could make connections with the promises made by God to other special people that are shared by the Jewish and Christian worldviews, such as Jonah (God’s promise that he would save Jonah from the belly of the fish and Jonah’s promise that he would convey God’s message); could draw or write on their whiteboards what they think might happen if someone breaks a promise and discuss how this might be different if Abraham or Moses had broken their promise to God during the Wrapping up discussion.
