Recap and recall

Hand out whiteboards and pens (one each) and display the Presentation: Income sources showing a slide with a written clue with a selection of possible answers. Ask the children to write down which answer they think the clue refers to and take suggestions. Click to reveal the correct answer. Repeat with slides 2 and 3.

Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Could use A4 paper (one each) to draw a need and write a label; could use a recording device to record three needs and explain what a need is.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should think beyond basic physical needs and consider emotional needs like love and security; could make comparisons between the needs of a baby to those of an adult highlighting similarities and differences.
