Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could be given their own copy of the pre-cut Resource: Seed packets to physically match with seed piles when making predictions in the adult-led task; could draw pictures to represent the results of the bean investigation in the independent task, e.g. drawing the cups labelled ‘water’ and ‘no water’ and the corresponding bean growth.
Pupils working at greater depth
Could look at the data recorded on their completed activity sheets to physically match the seed packets with the groups of sorted seeds; should look for patterns in the data collected, i.e. is there a relationship between the size, colour or shape of the seeds and bulbs and the plants which grow from them?
