Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Could, during the Main event, say descriptive noun phrases such as gato naranja – orange cat describing their partner’s mystery animals rather than writing a full sentence; could write noun phrases e.g. pez amarillo – yellow fish, rather than full sentences during the Wrapping up.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should ask the key questions during the Main event from memory; should respond to the key questions using full sentences as follows:

  • ¿Es un conejo? Sí, es un conejo. – Is it a rabbit? Yes, it is a rabbit.
  • ¿Es un gato azul? No, no es gato azul. – Is it a blue cat? No, it is not a blue cat.
