Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Should use the Resource: Numbers 1 to 12 word bank (support) in the Recap and recall and during the Main event to help them spot links with the larger numbers; should refer to the presentation audio for pronunciation when playing the game during the Main event.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should apply phonic knowledge independently to pronounce new words accurately; should predict the numbers 17 to 19 based on their knowledge of the number 16 during the Main event.
