Dates recap Display the Presentation: La Fecha. Invite the children to take turns reading the dates aloud in Spanish in pairs. They can use the sentence builder on the board to help them.

Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Should use the Activity: Birthday listening (support) in the listening activity during the Main event; should use the Knowledge organiser throughout the lesson for vocabulary support; should give their birthday by simply saying the date rather than putting it into a full sentence.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should prompt their partner to give the date by asking the question ¿Cuál es la fecha?– What is the date?; should say the date of their birthday in an extended sentence.
