Should use the word bank to help understand unfamiliar words and identify people correctly; could use the Knowledge organiser to provide visual support with vocabulary and grammar.
Pupils working at greater depth:
Should be encouraged to talk about the person they identified in full sentences, using just the picture as a prompt rather than relying on the prompts on the slide; could extend their writing by, for example, describing the person’s pet or naming more than one thing the person likes to do. For example:
Tiene un hermano y un gato. Le gusta jugar, escuchar música y leer libros – She has a brother and a cat. She likes to play, listen to music and read books.
