Our French: Long-term plan—condensed curriculum version suggests an order for primary lesson plans for French for schools with less time. It details which units/ lessons to teach if you wish to teach only 18 lessons over a school year, rather than the full scheme of work we detail on our standard French: Long-term plan.
The organisation of our French curriculum is explained, such as detailing the strands which thread through every unit. Each unit is hyperlinked and there is a short description of the content to give you an overview of Kapow’s Languages curriculum.
This condensed curriculum version of the French Long-term plan still gives full coverage of the national curriculum, but in fewer lessons. Please note that not all the skills and knowledge from our French: Progression of skills and knowledge document will be covered: you are advised to see our French: Progression of skills and knowledge — condensed version for further details if you follow the condensed curriculum.
Please note this document has recently been updated to reflect changes to our Music curriculum. Please see p.3/4 for more information.
This Music Long-term plan — mixed-age version gives a suggested order for teaching our full Music curriculum in a mixed-age setting covering:
For Reception, see EYFS Music lessons.
This mixed-age planning organises our units into a two-year rolling programme with Cycle A and Cycle B units to be taught alternately. Each of the units are hyperlinked and we have included two units: South Africa and Caribbean from our Instrumental scheme as well to ensure that you are covering the Model music curriculum’s recommendation that pupils in Year 3 and 4 should have the opportunity to learn a whole class instrumental programme for a minimum of one term.
The document Music: Progression of skills and knowledge — mixed-age accompanies this version of the long-term plan.

This long-term plan is suitable for use with the original Kapow Primary Art and design scheme.
We recommend that schools no longer use this scheme and transition to our revised Art and design scheme. Within our revised Art and design scheme, you will find planning and assessment materials, videos, blogs, subject leader support documents and lots more for KS1, LKS2 and UKS2.

We also offer:
- A standard Long-term plan for schools that teach Art and design most weeks of the school year.
- A long-term plan for teaching Art and design to mixed-age classes.
- A combined plan for schools that alternate the teaching of Art and design with Design and technology.

This condensed version of our RSE & PSHE scheme of work offers help to schools that want to ensure coverage of Relationship, sex and health education without dedicating a lesson a week to RSE & PSHE, as suggested in our standard RSE & PSHE: Long-term plan.
We have ensured that a range of themes are covered and that pupils go above and beyond the statutory guidance by covering some key lessons from our Citizenship and Economic wellbeing units. This version of our long-term plan could be used if teaching RSE & PSHE in a two-week, half-termly cycle or through blocking the foundation subjects. Or it could be used to relieve pressure on curriculum time.
Please note that not all the skills and knowledge from our RSE& PSHE: Progression of skills and knowledge document will be covered: you are advised to see our RSE & PSHE: Progression of skills and knowledge — condensed version for further details of the skills and knowledge covered if you follow the condensed curriculum.
