In her 14 year teaching career, Laura assumed the role of Music Lead, and was Head of Music in a large secondary school. Laura has a passion for working with children with a disadvantaged background, either through deprivation or disability, and now works full-time as Head of the Dyslexia Resource Base at a secondary school in the New Forest. When she isn’t busy with work Laura loves to spend time with her three sons; a nine year old and four year old twins; walking, swimming and generally anything else that tires them out!

Laura has created music topics that engage with cross curricular themes from classical music that represent animals, to a topic that introduces Upper Key Stage 2 pupils to South and West African music.
