Lesson 1: Shape 1: Seeing simple shapes (Original scheme)

Differentiation

Pupils needing extra support: Some pupils can press too hard, drawing with thick, heavy lines. Encourage light sketching so that they can rub out any mistakes.

If this doesn’t work, try using H or 2H pencils.

 

Pupils working at greater depth: Some pupils might sketch the basic shapes out easily and want to move on to drawing detail. Make sure they’ve spent time observing and identifying the underlying shapes before they do this.
