Lesson 4: Guernica 2 – Pablo Picasso (Original scheme)

Continuing with their 'Guernica' inspired compositions from last lesson, children apply paint in tones of black, white and grey, standing back from their work at regular intervals to ensure that they maintain balance in their piece.

Pupils needing extra support: For those struggling to paint neatly within the lines, use masking tape to tape off on the line and paint to this.

 

Pupils working at greater depth: Could include patterns within areas – look at Picasso’s use of lines to denote the horse’s hair in the original painting, or the detailing in the hair.
