Pupils needing extra support
Should use the Resource: Dale Chihuly inspiration to refer to for ideas when creating their models in the Main event; could use word prompts to think about different ways to manipulate the modelling material; should use a softer material that is easier to work with; could look at more examples of Chihuly’s work to inspire their ideas.
Pupils working at greater depth:
Could create a layered effect by building up different colours or textures with the materials; could experiment with visual depth and how it resembles Chihuly’s glass; should explain their choices and the editing process they followed, considering what makes their piece unique while relating it to Chihuly’s vision.
