Pupils needing extra support: Make small amounts of paint for the wash stage to avoid the card getting too wet too quickly. Children should discuss where they apply the paint or add the dot matrix effect.
Pupils working at greater depth: Talk about the colours created as a result of the wash and use a varied vocabulary to describe the colours.
