Pupils needing extra support: May need the 10cm grid drawn out prior to the lesson. Also, when selecting an area to trace, it is a good idea to create diagonal lines or curved lines that go out of the area of the box. Try not to trace complete images, just sections.
Pupils working at greater depth: May go on to produce further flip patterns using 5cm squares. This creates much more complex patterns.
