Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. When they were old enough, the time came for them to leave home and seek their fortunes.

Before they left, their mother told them, “Always try your best because that is the way to get along in the world.”

The first little pig built his house out of straw because it was the easiest thing to do.

The second little pig built his house out of sticks. The stick house was a little bit stronger than the straw house.

The third little pig built his house out of bricks. It was a lot of work but the brick house was sturdy and strong.

One night, the big bad wolf noticed the three new houses. He spotted one of the little pigs through a window and his tummy rumbled.

Hungrily, the big bad wolf crept up to the front door of the straw house.

“Let me in, let me in, little pig or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” the wolf roared.

“Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!” replied the little pig.

The wolf huffed and he puffed and blew the straw house down.

With nowhere to hide, the little pig ran but was soon gobbled up by the wolf.

The first little pig was delicious but the big bad wolf was not full yet. He walked down the street and saw the house of sticks where the second little pig lived.

“Let me in, let me in, little pig or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” the wolf demanded.

The wolf huffed and he puffed and blew the stick house down.

With nowhere to hide, the second little pig tried to run but was soon gobbled up by the wolf too.

The second little pig was also delicious, but the big bad wolf was still hungry. He walked down the street and saw the house of bricks where the third little pig lived.

“Let me in, let me in, little pig or I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!” The wolf demanded again.

“Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin!” replied the last little pig.

The wolf huffed and he puffed…but he could not blow the brick house down.

Frustrated, the big bad wolf looked for another way into the house. He climbed up onto the roof and scampered towards the chimney.

The little pig saw the wolf climb up onto the roof. He lit a roaring fire in the fireplace and placed a large pot of water over the flames.

When the wolf finally found the hole in the chimney, he gave an evil laugh. He crawled down the chimney, ready to gobble up another delicious little pig.

KERSPLASH!

The wolf fell straight into the boiling pot of water, which was the end of the little pig’s troubles with the big bad wolf.

The next day the little pig invited his mother to his lovely brick house.

She said, “You see, it is just as I told you. Always try your best because that is the way to get along in the world.”

Fortunately for that little pig, he learnt that lesson, and he lived happily ever after.
