Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support:

Should use the pictures from the Presentation: Planning to guide them through assembling their wheel, axle and base; could watch the Pupil video: Cutting song again to help them with their cutting skills; could use the diagrams on the Knowledge organiser to help them understand how a wheel and axle work together to help something move.

Pupils working at greater depth:

Should try to move their pull-along base faster and slower and observe and discuss how the wheels move (they may slide when pulled faster); could cut out the base for the wheels and axle.
