Differentiation
Pupils needing extra support: can use picture cards from last lesson or the labelled pictures from the jumbled words activity as a support. Encourage them to decide which item words might belong with each bag before looking together to try and find the correct label.
Pupils working at greater depth: can be challenged to write a longer content list, appropriately punctuated and with connective ‘et’, and think about including plurals, adjectives of size and/or colour.
Wrapping up
During the week
- Use page 3 of the Activity: What’s in the bag? for children to design their own ‘what’s in the bag’ logic puzzles.
- For display – write large labels attached to clear plastic bags pinned to the wall and see if children can add in the correct equipment (or use mini cards for display).
- Don’t forget to use your classroom instructions. A quick game of ‘Jacques a dit’ will warm you up for a French lesson, or end the day with a bit of French.
