Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could use the Resource: Knowledge organiser: Verbs in a French week to practise forming phrases on the spinner for the verb chanter – to sing, asking for phrases out of sequence e.g. I sing, we sing, he sings.
Pupils working at greater depth
Could be challenged to use the Activity: In the news to select and work out what the missing verb is, then use their spinners and learning so far to work out the correct form of the verb and fill the gap in the French phrase; could make a separate spinner but add different -er verbs located in the dictionary but this will need careful supervision as the spinner only works with regular verbs.
