Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support:
Could design their own planets (perhaps on paper plates) and choose and stick adjectives or simple sentences to describe them, using models from previous lessons; could use the Knowledge organiser (see link: Knowledge organiser: Y5 Space Exploration in French) to support with describing the planets.
Pupils working at greater depth:
Could use the examples from the speaking activity to design and draw their own alien planet and subsequently write a series of questions and answers to describe it.
