Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Can be given a table with headings ‘er’, ‘ir’ and ‘re’ and cut up pictures to sort from the Activity: Actions or copy the vocabulary. They can agree actions to help remember the new verbs.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should be encouraged to research a wide range of additional verbs from the dictionary to establish the most common endings.
