Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could work in small groups to describe their journey to school, initially practising the phrase, je vais à l’école en + mode of transport, to focus on accurate pronunciation and retention. Further places that pupils may encounter on their journey can be added as their confidence grows.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should challenge pupils to extend sentences using additional prepositions and extra modes of transport that they may remember from previous learning. They can also present their journey to school to the class to aid fluency and confidence.
