Support and challenge
Adults can use the opportunity to discuss and/or support with:
- Using vocabulary related to the seasons, as well as the terms spring, summer, autumn and winter.
- Encouraging the children to think about how the changing seasons affect the outdoor environment. For example, in winter, there are no leaves left on the deciduous trees.
- Observe and support the children as they explore.
- Find appropriate opportunities to extend learning, introduce new ideas or model how to do something.
