ELG: Past and Present
Children at the expected level of development will:
- Know some similarities and differences between things in the past and now, drawing on their experiences and what has been read in class.

Support and challenge
Adults can use the opportunity to discuss and/or support with:
- Using the key questions provided above to access the Activity: Spot the differences to its full potential.
- Challenging the children to spot a minimum number of differences, for example, at least three; could encourage children to write their answers down on a piece of paper or a whiteboard using sentence starters provided to encourage independent writing, e.g. “One difference I see is…” and “One similarity I can see is…”
