  • To improvise in a Calypso style using a pentatonic scale

Pupils needing extra support: These pupils can play the pentatonic scale in order rather than mixing the notes up.

 

Pupils working at greater depth: Challenge these pupils to use notes of different lengths to vary their improvisations. They could also extend their improvisations over the whole freestyle section.
