Differentiation

Pupils needing extra support: This lesson provides an opportunity for you to check in with pupils individually to see how they are getting on with all aspects of their tuned percussion learning and is therefore an opportunity to support those who need it.

Pupils working at greater depth: Can be challenged to create their own rhythms instead of using the ones provided. Depending on how complex the rhythms are, they may not be able to write them down —  this is fine as they have already completed the initial notation activity.
