Arrange the children in pairs and give each pair a copy of the Resource: Knowledge organiser: PE – Dance: Step to the beat and display the Presentation: Using the Knowledge organiser. Instruct the children to take turns asking their partners questions referring to the Knowledge organiser.

Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could where necessary be given adult support with timing; could repeat one movement phrase twice for their paired composition; could be given one simple improvement to work on, e.g. extending their arms.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should actively demonstrate their feedback to others with movement; could develop their paired composition by including some dynamic movements, e.g. facing different directions or performing high and low movements; could lead the whole class in performing movement phrases.
