Unit outcomes
Pupils who are secure will be able to:
- Dribble the ball at their feet, using the inside, outside and tops of their feet.
- Keep control of the ball at their feet using small, light touches.
- Explain that to keep possession, they or their teammate need to be in control of the ball.
- Change direction with the ball using the inside and outside of their feet and the drag back turn.
- Use different techniques to pass and receive the ball with their feet (including short and long passes and the outside pass).
- Accurately aim and shoot at a variety of targets at varying distances.
- Explain that to alter the angle of their shots, their planted foot needs to point in the direction they want the ball to travel.
- Work as part of a team in varying roles and positions.
- Create and implement attacking strategies.
