Pupils needing extra support:

Could use the Resource: Jonah and the whale: pupil version to follow along in the lesson; should use the sentence stems from the Presentation: Discussion during class discussion; should use the images on the Activity: Characteristics to decide whether the card is what they think a prophet might be like.

Pupils working at greater depth: 

Could explain why Jonah did not obey God; could suggest why God may have chosen someone who was unwilling; should suggest some of their own words and phrases to describe what a prophet should be like.
