Pupils needing extra support
Could listen to the stories of Abraham and Moses prior to the lesson; could use the Activity: Promises (support version); could focus on either the story of Abraham or Moses rather than both stories.
Pupils working at greater depth
Could make connections with the promises made by God to other special people that are shared by the Jewish and Christian worldviews, such as Jonah (God’s promise that he would save Jonah from the belly of the fish and Jonah’s promise that he would share God’s message); should explain the reasoning for their predictions on the Activity: Promises; should suggest why the stories might still be important to some people today during the Wrapping up discussion.
