Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could be provided with examples of adults who might have responsibilities around rights to focus on thinking about, e.g. teachers, parents/carers, the police or the local council; could record their ideas verbally, rather than writing, using a voice-recording device or talking to an adult.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should be challenged to develop more ideas about children’s responsibilities, explaining how individual behaviour can affect others.
