Basic first aid
Pupil’s should know:
- how to make a clear and efficient call to emergency services if necessary
- concepts of basic first-aid, for example dealing with common injuries, including head injuries
Differentiation
Pupils needing more support: Could use the Activity: Useful or not useful? during the Main event to gain an understanding of information that is most relevant when making an emergency phone call.
Pupils working at a greater depth: Could be asked to explain why they chose the options they did from Activity: Information for emergency phone call.
