Y3/4 Lesson 1 (Cycle ): Coping strategies

Year 3 children consider targets for Year 4. Year 4 children learn that, as they get older, the number of opportunities and responsibilities they have are likely to increase as situations change, and that this is a good thing.

Pupils needing extra support:

Year 3: Can focus on two goals – one for school and one for outside.

Year 4: Could focus on one or two strategies to cope with change in their poster. 

Pupils working at greater depth:

Year 3: Can focus on a greater number of goals and create more detailed steps towards the goal.

Year 4: Can be challenged to include a greater number of strategies to help cope with change, including some of their own, new ideas.
