Pupils working at greater depth

Should be challenged to think about and explain why each step of the primary survey is important; should be challenged to think about and explain how the recovery position aids in recovery; could be provided with a variety of imaginary scenarios in which they decide the best course of action to take, e.g. primary survey shows that a casualty is unresponsive and not breathing, so the action taken is to call 999 and begin CPR.
