Support and challenge
Adults can use the opportunity to:
- Cut open fruit such as apples, oranges and tomatoes to explore the seeds inside with the pupils.
- Talk to the children about what they think would happen if they did not water the seeds.
- Encourage the children to compare the size and shape of different seeds and bulbs; prompt them to guess what plant each might grow into.
