Could cut, stick and label the birds and verbally describe their differences in the independent task; could choose only two birds to stick in their books and write one sentence to describe how they are different; could look through ‘The Oak Tree’ storybook before the lesson to identify and name the featured animals.

Pupils working at greater depth
