Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Could have the questions cut off the bottom of the Activity: Results table and demonstrate their understanding through discussion; could have column one of the Activity: Results table pre-filled; could use base ten (ten sticks) to measure plant B and their own plant and compare the results.
Pupils working at greater depth
Could write a prediction about what will happen to plant B if placed back in a dark cupboard, explaining their reasoning (e.g. I predict that the plant will die; it has used its energy to grow a shoot but needs light to make more energy to continue growth); could record plant measurements in centimetres and millimetres when completing the Activity: Results table.
