Pupils who are secure will be able to:
- Ask and answer the question, ¿Tienes una mascota? – Do you have a pet? using the correct pronunciation.
- Identify some animal names.
- Identify a noun’s gender by looking at the preceding indefinite article.
- Select the correct form of an adjective to ensure it agrees with the noun it describes.
- Choose suitable adjectives to describe an animal’s characteristics.
- Show understanding of a story by making plausible predictions.
- Select appropriate words and phrases to adapt sentences and write their own story.
- Read aloud using accurate pronunciation.
- Change intonation to differentiate between statements and questions.
- Vary their tone to express emotion and engage their audience.
