Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support:

Should use the Activity: Teddy transport: support, which has fewer gaps to fill and includes a word bank for children to choose the phrases from; could use the Knowledge organiser to support with finding the correct vocabulary to fill the gaps; could complete the sheet verbally, speaking to an adult.

Pupils working at greater depth:

Should use the Activity: Teddy transport: extension, which provides the opportunity to write the translations in English; should aim to complete the second page of the Activity: Teddy transport: extension, which requires the children to independently use a bilingual English-Spanish dictionary to look up new transport vocabulary, before applying these to written sentences.
