Pupils needing extra support

Should use the support version of the Activity: Dictionary task with English captions for spelling support; (EAL learners) could record in their home language and Spanish; could use an online translator or the Resource: Dictionary pages instead of a dictionary.  

Pupils working at greater depth

Should identify new words from the written text and suggest strategies to decode; could source additional nouns from the dictionary; could use new vocabulary to create an introduction paragraph for a character living in one of the homes on the Activity: Dictionary task.
