Could use the Knowledge organiser to support with new vocabulary and provide a visual aid for the name of each landmark; should use the Activity: Mystery landmarks: support version; could underline/highlight the words from each category in a different colour on the text in the Wrapping up.

Pupils working at greater depth:

Should, in the Main event, use a code to label each word based on how they deduced its meaning, e.g. ‘F’ for a familiar word, ‘X’ for words they deduced from the context, ‘C’ for cognates and ‘G’ for words they deduced by applying their knowledge of grammar; should write the English translation for each of the words in the Wrapping up.
