Adaptive teaching
Pupils needing extra support
Should use the Activity: Treasure hunt map in the Attention grabber to support their understanding of the oral directions; should refer to the Knowledge organiser to support them in giving directions during both the Attention grabber and Main event; could write their clues in English first before translating words or phrases into Spanish.
Pupils working at greater depth
Should respond to the question ¿Qué hay allí? – What is there? in the Attention grabber by giving a description of the relevant landmark rather than its name; should write their treasure hunt clues using minimal prompts; could vary their landmark descriptions using additional adjectives sourced from their memory or a Spanish-English bilingual dictionary.
