Adaptive teaching

Pupils needing extra support

Should use the Activity: La carta: support version which provides a ready-completed word bank, allowing time to colour code each ingredient as it appears on the menu; could listen to each conversation in the Main event multiple times to ensure they have understood the spoken language.

Pupils working at greater depth

Should deduce the meaning of the conversations without needing to look at the transcript; should improvise their own versions of the conversations using the Activity: La carta and the transcripts on slide 3 of the Presentation: Café conversations to support them.
